Internet provider connects first Hamilton customer and gifts a bottle of Buckfast as a thank you

A new customer couldn’t help laugh after being gifted with a bottle of Buckfast as a thank you for joining his new Internet provider.

Andrew Morgan received the bottle of Buckie, a well known Lanarkshire tipple, along with a bottle of champagne upon installation of his new YouFibre Internet connection at his Hamilton home.

The link up marks YouFibre’s first customer in Hamilton as part of its continued expansion across the country, building on its existing presence in East Kilbride.

The company, which announced its 5000th customer this year, was founded in 2019 and has seen exponential growth in recent months as it expands its offer across the UK.

A spokeswoman for YouFibre explained the reasoning behind the Buckie gift and said: “All first customers are gifted champagne, but in this instance we also gifted a bottle of Buckfast considering the Scottish location to make it a bit more special.”

New Hamilton customer Andrew said: “Their customer service has been extremely helpful and friendly.

“Not to mention that we’ve finally found an internet service that offers ultrafast speeds, meaning we can stream multiple devices at once. A very happy customer.”

Ryan Battle, managing director of YouFibre, commented: “It’s great to be building on our existing presence in Scotland and we hope to be able to offer our service to more towns and cities soon.”

YouFibre offers offers its customers speeds of up to 10 Gbps in Hamilton at a range of packages, starting at £22 per month, increasing to £50 per month for ultrafast broadband services.
